Marathi biodata fields, explained
Marathi biodatas may use headings for personal, education, work and family details, alongside fields some families use for their deity or horoscope. Practices differ by family and region, so treat this as a guide, not a required list.

Common Marathi headings
वैयक्तिक माहिती — personal details
Name, birth date and place, height and language are common basics. Add the birth time only if your family uses it.
शिक्षण व नोकरी — education and work
Give the qualification and current study, job or business in plain words. Mention the city; income is optional.
कौटुंबिक माहिती — family details
Parents, siblings and मूळ गाव (native place) can help another family understand your background. Keep the wording brief.
कुलदैवत or देवक — family-specific details
Some families include a family deity (कुलदैवत), devak (देवक) or another custom field. Ask your family which terms and spellings they use.
पत्रिका — horoscope details
If your family matches horoscopes, it may include रास, नक्षत्र, गण, नाडी or मंगळ. Leave these out if they are not used.
संपर्क — contact
Add a contact person's name and mobile number. A city or area is usually enough; avoid putting a full home address on a file that may be forwarded.
Customs differ between families and regions. Include what your family uses, and leave out the rest.
Tips
- Ask a fluent Marathi reader to check spelling and family-specific words before sharing.
- Use the terms your own family uses; the same custom can have different names or spellings.
- Leave out any field the person does not want to share. Blank sections do not need to appear.
- Check that the exported PDF and image display Marathi characters correctly before sending them.
Making it on BiodataSetu
Choose Marathi as the biodata language, add only the fields that fit your family, and preview the result in a design. For a family-specific item such as देवक, use a custom field if you need one.
