A girl's marriage biodata introduces her to the boy's family. It should be clear, honest and on one page, with a recent photo, and it should share only what the family is comfortable sharing, because biodatas get forwarded widely.

What to include in a girl's biodata
Photo
One recent photo with a plain background, in clothes she would wear to meet the family. One good photo works better than several.
Personal details
Full name, date, time and place of birth, height, religion and community if the family wants to mention them, diet, and languages.
Education and work
Qualification, and current job or studies. Income is optional; many families leave it out.
Family details
Parents' names and work, brothers and sisters, and the native place.
Horoscope (optional)
Rashi, nakshatra, gotra, gan, nadi and manglik status, if the families will match horoscopes.
Expectations and contact
What matters in a partner, such as education, city or values, and a parent's mobile number.
Tips
- Share a parent's phone number rather than her own, at least at first.
- Leave out the full home address; a city or area is enough.
- Biodatas get forwarded, so include only what you are comfortable with anyone seeing.
- Write expectations as values, not demands. It reads better to the other family.
